If you have over 40, you're spoiled...
( ) a television in your bedroom
( ) an iPod
( ) a photo printer
( ) your own phone line (Does a cell phone count?)
( ) TiVo or a generic digital video recorder
(1) high-speed internet access [i.e., not dialup]
( ) a surround sound system in bedroom
( ) DVD player in bedroom
( ) at least a hundred DVDs
( ) a childfree bathroom (In our house?! Not even a boy-free one!)
( ) your own in-house office (Sure...if my piled high desk in the bedroom that I share with my two youngest siblings counts)
( ) a pool
( ) a guest house
( ) a game room
( ) a queen-size bed or larger (It's a full size and I share it.)
( ) a stocked bar
( ) a working dishwasher (This we do have...although at the moment it's not in use because of soap scum; okay, so I won't count it.)
( ) an icemaker
(2) a working washer and dryer
( ) more than 20 pairs of shoes
( ) at least ten things from a designer store (What qualifies as a designer store? And how would I know if hand-me-downs are from there? Just being facetious...)
( ) expensive sunglasses (Yeah, from $1 Shop)
( ) framed original art [not lithographs or prints] (I don't own it, but we do have one of my grandmother's paintings hung somewhere...or we did, at any rate.)
( ) Egyptian cotton sheets or towels
( ) a multi-speed bike
( ) a gym membership
( ) large exercise equipment at home (I don't know what qualifies or what we have.)
( ) your own set of golf clubs
( ) a pool table
( ) a tennis court
( ) local access to a lake, large pond, or the sea
( ) your own pair of skis
( ) enough camping gear for a weekend trip in an isolated area (We probably do, but why would that mean I'm spoiled?! How are camping and being spoiled at all related?)
( ) a boat
( ) a jet ski
( ) a neighborhood committee membership
( ) a beach house or a vacation house/cabin
( ) wealthy family members
(3) two or more family cars (Is this a luxury when you have four drivers in the house?)
( ) a walk-in closet or pantry
(4) a yard
( ) a hammock
( ) a personal trainer
( ) good credit (Don't know.)
( ) expensive jewelry (I have jewelry that might be a bit more expensive than the $1 Shop variety...but I doubt it is very valuable.)
( ) a designer bag that required being on a waiting list to get (What? And have it stolen immediately?)
( ) at least $100 cash in your possession right now (I doubt it; I haven't been to the bank recently enough...or do they mean just not being broke?)
( ) more than two credit cards bearing your name [not counting gas cards or debit cards] (Nada!)
( ) a stock portfolio
(5) a passport
( ) a horse
( ) a trust fund [either for you or created by you]
( ) private medical insurance
(6) a college degree, and no outstanding student loans (This is only if an A.A. and an A.S. count...because I have nothing more...but it's true that I didn't have to borrow any money for them.)
Do you:
( ) shop for non-needed items for yourself [like clothes, jewelry, electronics] at least once a week
( ) do your regular grocery shopping at high-end or specialty stores
( ) pay someone else to clean your house, do dishes, or launder your clothes [not counting dry-cleaning]
( ) go on weekend mini-vacations
( ) send dinners back with every flaw
( ) wear perfume or cologne [not body spray]
( ) regularly get your hair styled or nails done in a salon
( ) have a job but don't need the money OR
(7) stay at home with little financial sacrifice
( ) pay someone else to cook your meals
( ) pay someone else to watch your children or walk your dogs
( ) regularly pay someone else to drive you taxis
( ) expect a gift after you fight with your partner
Are you:
( ) an only child
( ) married/partnered to a wealthy person
( ) baffled/surprised when you don't get your way
Have you:
( ) been on a cruise
(8) traveled out of the country
( ) met a celebrity (I don't know how celebrities are classified, so I'm not sure. I've never met Bill Clinton, though, so I doubt it.)
( ) been to the Caribbean
(9) been to Europe (Only when I was a baby, though...)
(10) been to Hawaii (I lived there for 13 years.)
( ) been to New York
( ) eaten at the space needle in Seattle
( ) been to the Mall of America
( ) been on the Eiffel tower in Paris
( ) been on the Statue of Liberty in New York
( ) moved more than three times because you wanted to
(11) dined with local political figures (Oh, if this answered the celebrity question...;-) I'm still not sure whether to count this question.)
(12) been to both the Atlantic coast and the Pacific coast (Probably...although I can't actually recall seeing the Pacific from California or Washington.)
Did you:
( ) go to another country for your honeymoon
( ) hire a professional photographer for your wedding or party
(13) take riding or swimming lessons as a child (I thought this was about survival.)
(14) attend private school (The privatest: Home)
( ) have a Sweet 16 birthday party thrown for you (Most definitely not!)
Grand total of 14...lovely, eh? That's what happens when you have seven siblings, I think.=D I think a few of those things will change in time, though...still, I doubt I'll get up to the requisite number to consider myself "spoiled."
