On Praying for Clear Direction
Oct. 15th, 2005 01:16 amI just had an amazing thought...well, it was about a week or two ago and I meant to share it then, but it's finally happening now--and, even so, just barely. I've prayed almost agonizingly for God's direction. Recently, it hit me that He has already given His direction in so many ways that I'm really not sure I need (or even want) to know for sure about--things I already know that He wants me to do. So now to make that list...;-)
ETA: I wasn't exactly awake when I posted this, which is why it's a little incoherent. What I meant to say is probably relatively clear, but let me try to restate it:
The Lord has already directed me in so many areas that I finally realized how silly it is to keep agonizing over what He might want me to do ten years from now--or even one year from now. I know FOR SURE what He wants me to do today, tomorrow, and in the next several months. For now, I may as well focus on fulfilling the desires that I know He has. He will continue to direct, I know.
I've been planning to sit down and write out what I KNOW that He wants me to do, but I have yet to do it. Maybe soon...
