Several people, actually, have asked how my new job is going.;-) They are really curious to know what I do. It's actually kind of funny, too, because I wouldn't have been able to tell them what I was going to do before doing it. Our family has kind of changed a lot of things over the years, so home schooling now isn't quite the same as it was when I was younger. Of course, I don't guess you know what my home schooling was like anyway, so the comparison wouldn't be very useful for you.

Okay...

First of all, everyone knows that home schoolers have to have a routine. ::chuckle:: If you home school, you'll understand what I mean.;-) If you don't, let's just say that some home schoolers are well known for not being quite "together." However, I can honestly say that my mom has everything pretty well organized. We're adding subjects gradually, but the things they are already doing are well in place. All I do is assist--just as you would expect that a tutor should. I observe them as they work on things, watch how they learn, figure out what they need to know so that they can do better, and work with them until they have acquired the skills necessary to complete the task.

It's a slow process, in many ways. I'm still working on figuring out where everyone is in certain subjects (like writing, for instance). I have to figure out what they don't know before I can try to help them learn it.=) I'm enjoying the whole process, though.

The real challenge now is to get out school books for myself so that I will learn something during this time. Some people have asked how long this is going to be. I am not sure how long it will last, but I'm hoping to be at home at least through this semester. We'll see exactly what God has in store after that. Assuming I am able to gain the scholarships necessary (which probably means that I should be submitting applications this coming week), I would love to begin school again this coming fall. I have an entire semester of prerequisite classes to complete before I can begin nursing school. Which reminds me...I'm still not entirely sure if I am going to go to nursing school. I honestly don't know what God has in mind. As I have mentioned before, I have more than one interest. Nursing seems to be the most practical, though.

Anyway...that's my update for the moment.=)
