I have an appointment to meet with a lady at my town's branch of Loving Choices tomorrow afternoon. Although the place in the town further north probably hasn't received my application yet, perhaps they will receive it in time to fax it tomorrow (maybe, though it seems doubtful), when I turn another form in at the closer place--the form is one my pastor graciously filled out for me.=) Apparently, Loving Choices is in great need of assistance. And I'll have the lovely task of being a receptionist. Actually, ironically enough, I really miss being a receptionist and interacting with people in that way...so I'm quite excited about that. We'll see how it goes and what happens. They expect a four hour per week commitment, but I'm pretty sure that I can do more than that--at least for now. But I'll talk to the lady I meet with about whether that will work for them.=)
That's what's happening in my life today. Otherwise, I'm busy working on boxing things up in my room so that I can get what I don't really need to have in there out of my way...and then maybe things will be cleaner, more organized, and maybe even more efficient! My job at the college is getting more and more boring, I think...
Yeah, my life's pretty boring right now. The Children's Choir is supposed to sing "The Wiggle Worm" song sometime in the near future and the kids are squirming (er, wiggling) with impatience to sing that song in church. Chris, my brother's fiancee', had Patch the Pirate tapes from when she was younger...and her mom gave them to us. Since I don't care much for Patch the Pirate, I hadn't listened to them, but I looked through them when I was telling Chris about the song because I wanted to see if that one was on one of the tapes...and there it was! I'm afraid that Majesty Music isn't kind enough to post clips of their children's music online, so you can't hear it unless you have the tape, but it's even funnier on tape than the way the kids have been singing it! I really wish I could find a clip for all of you.=)
Other than that, let's see...hmm...did I mention that August 20th is the latest projected date for my brother's wedding? I've only said that to dozens of people, so it's hard to remember, but it does seem like I've mentioned it before. Chris is supposed to have her dress already and the bridesmaids' dresses are picked out. My mom needs to look at both so she can start looking for dresses for the little flower girls. If she can't find dresses, she'll have to find material and make them! That should be exciting. LOL! At least she finally cut out her own dress today. Last night, my grandmother asked me if I knew what I was wearing for the wedding. Har! Like I'm going to plan that?! LOL! I hate having to think about clothing...and I'm not going to do it right now, thank you very much. I'll find out in enough time to take care of it, I think. I don't know if I'll have to wear something special, but I suppose I should try to look extra nice since it's my brother's wedding. Nails are one thing I won't be doing, though.=) I'm pretty sure I'll be washing dishes that week...and I'm also possibly going to play the piano for the wedding. Plus, I'll just be getting back from Ireland. Anyway, I can't handle long nails...and I'm not interested in manicures or anything. They'd get messed up too quickly! So they just aren't worth it. I'm afraid my appearance will not be very different from how I ordinarily look. But part of the reason is that I really do try to look pretty nice most of the time, so it's not like I can improve that much. LOL!
Sorry about the rambling! I'll kindly end now. It could only get worse...
