Homework is not going well these days...
Nov. 10th, 2004 07:19 amIn two evenings, I need to finish several papers...and I have yet to finish all the reading that I need to do in preparation for writing the papers. I have this little problem of falling asleep while I'm reading, and then I just decide it's not worth it and I go to bed for the night, and still have difficulty in rising in the morning, so of course I don't get up early. Can anyone recommend a good stimulant? If I could just find a Think bar, I'd be in great shape...but I may have to settle for Power bars. =\ I know; those aren't really stimulants...but I want something that actually has a stronger, longer, safer effect than caffeine (or sugar, for that matter, since that's what I usually end up eating/drinking).
As for other things, well...life is crazy, but God is good. I need a lot of prayer on figuring out how to prioritize so that I can spend more time with my family. I don't want to cut out any regular commitments (the only one I really could at this point is BSF, and I really feel like I should stick with that at least until the end of the school year). My next semester's schedule (for Mondays through Fridays):

Somewhere in there I'll fit in my thirty-hour Education Practicum, which consists of observing in the classroom...we'll see how that goes. Thankfully, my schedule next semester should be saner than the one I'm doing now. Eliminating one job is going to be VERY helpful (except financially, of course, but that's life).
But now I really should get up out of this chair, shower, and see if I can get to the bank before I need to be at work. Today's the day that the Conservative Viewpoint is supposed to discuss the election results, since I was the only student there last week (=\)...that should be interesting. Naturally, I've had a bazillion discussions with other people on that very topic. LOL! Off-line, my discussions are probably much more controversial than any I've gotten involved in on-line...but I don't think I've offended anyone yet! =D At least, I hope not...I try to figure out before I say anything whether it's going to become a problem or if it could, at least possibly, be profitable. Of course, when I mentioned the elections indirectly last night at a BSF discussion group fellowship (talking about people worrying), nobody "got" what I was talking about. LOL! I couldn't believe it...oh, well. Such is life in a non-political atmosphere, because I guess that's what BSF is?!
Anyway, I really had better go now. I'm hoping to get some schoolwork done this evening after choir...on the other hand, maybe it's time to quit singing with the adult choir.=\ I don't know what to do. I feel like my priorities will be messed up if I leave, and yet I don't know what to cut out of my life...maybe what I'm doing at this very moment?=D Hmm.
