Mar. 22nd, 2003 06:21 pmHide and Seek made me so sore! I really need to exercise. Laughing hard hurts now!;-)
My oldest brother is not yet back from an overnight stay at a lake. The next two boys are out helping gather rocks for a family from church--they have been gone all day, leaving us a very peaceful house. My dad was at work, so it was just my mom, the four younger children, and me. We did laundry and made food for tomorrow's church fellowship dinner. Everything was very relaxed.
A family from our church has a daughter coming home today to stay with them until her husband returns from whatever duties he is performing as a pilot out in the Middle East. Not being up on the up with the news and all, I'm still not quite sure what my mom said about him being in the 101st division? I don't know much about it, except that it means he is right there.
It is strange to hear reports of casualties of war...and think about how many people are dying (as usual) right here in our country--from disease, accidents, and abortion. That is the news that goes unreported. In some ways, it sounds like the soldiers that have been deployed might be a bit safer than the people their age who are still here.
