Irony's a funny thing. I am twenty-two.=D

You Are 22 Years Old

22

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

Well, I love LiveJournal, but here's what I'm getting right now:

Our data center (Internap) lost all its power, including redundant backup power, for some unknown reason. (unknown to me, at least) We're currently dealing with bringing our 100+ servers back online. Not fun. We're not happy about this. Sorry... :-/ More details later.

So I can't read entries, write entries, or otherwise interact with LJ friends, which is unfortunate...but I guess it means that I'm not really missing out on anything, which is good.

Malachi will be back home tomorrow evening...as will my parents, although they have been gone a much shorter period of time. I never knew how difficult it would be to deal with bored kids. I still haven't gotten any of the work done that I was supposed to do for "work." Oh, well...I'll have some time on Monday, I guess...and Sunday night after church, I suppose.

Wow. The other computer just shut down on Gabriel, but he started it right back up again. It's weird to see a person who's not even three yet moving the mouse around, clicking here and there to do whatever he wants to do (play games, usually...with swords and guns).

Not much is really happening in my life right now. Today was sort of busy, in its own way. I took Gabriel (almost three) and Rebekah (five and a half) out with me. First, we went to the park in the cold...and stayed until our fingers and ears and noses were about frozen. Rebekah didn't want to leave then, but she realized how cold she was when we prepared to leave. We then went shopping at the Neighborhood Market, where we bought stuff to make chicken divan (we already had chicken and some broccoli, but I needed cheese and I wanted sour cream and more broccoli) and lasagna. Shopping with two young children is quite an experience. Questions, comments, constant chatter...why have I never noticed this before?!

Finally, we went to Wendy's to get lunch for everybody, a new Friday tradition as a reward for house cleaning efforts, primarily put forth by the boys. I took Gabriel and Rebekah with me to get them out of the way for a little while, which was helpful to Levi and Benjamin, since that allowed them to work on floors without any major interruptions. I still need to do laundry, though.

I'm at a loss on how to occupy Gabriel and Rebekah for the next couple of hours. They slept late this afternoon, so I doubt that they'll be ready for bed soon. I've got a Hitchcock movie on, but even I am bored by it, so I think that's not going to last long. Either we'll find another movie or we'll find something better to do...or I'll give up and send them to bed soon. Gabriel stays awake forever, though...

Anyway, that's life for today...aren't you glad to hear about it? LOL!=D
