My political philosophy...

According to your answers, your political philosophy is centrist.
Centrists favor selective government intervention and emphasize practical solutions to current problems. They tend to keep an open mind on new issues. Many centrists feel that government serves as a check on excessive liberty.

Actually, I think that sums it up pretty well. Your Personal Self-Government Score is 40%. Your Economic Self-Government Score is 30%. I'm not so sure about what to make of that, though. The questions on the test were interesting and worth pursuing.

What do you guys think about the government regulating almost everything in our lives? I have a positive view of some aspects of it, at least.

Oh, I just don't know HOW to write an analysis paper. We read an example, but the teacher basically used it to tell us how NOT to write an analysis. She commented as she went through it on what WAS analysis, which was very little. I did talk to my grandparents about the poem I picked, and they helped me by confirming the direction I was going. They also clarified the meaning of a phrase that confused me, which was very helpful. I know my thesis (basically)...what I intend to show, anyway. I know what the theme is, and how the writer (Shakespeare, actually) presents it. But it's a very short piece, and I kind of feel like there's not a whole lot to say. I would like to dig deeper, but my brain won't let me because I'm so tired from being up since early this morning. I think I'll just go to bed and worry about it (and all my other homework) tomorrow. Of course, tomorrow we will be preparing to cook for church Sunday, but the upside to this college stuff is that my brothers have had to become more helpful, so I'm hoping that everything will be okay in that regard. And on that lovely note...

Oh, I got a letter from my engaged friend today. She described a proposal at sunset...in Vienna, I think, although I couldn't swear to it. It's amazing to think that I might actually get to see her next summer!
